Independent Film in Small Town USA

Want to make a movie? Go to Hollywood, or maybe Toronto. You could always try New York City. But what about all the storytellers across the country in smaller towns? How do you become a filmmaker if you live in a place where movie-making isn’t an everyday job? You do what others before you did: you tell stories everyday.

Just starting out
Reinvention is one of those things that’s either really scary, or really fun. Usually when it’s scary, it’s scary enough to keep you away. Just the idea of reinvention keeps people from actually doing it.
After living in LA for almost two years, most of that with a full time job that had nothing to do with filmmaking, I’m looking forward to my own reinvention. 0323...
